So...did Stoops & Gundy have a point?
Last night's SEC championship scored over 100 points. If this were any other league we'd be bitching about how soft the defenses are.
Bob Stoops was ripped for these comments:

"Just a few years ago, we had all the quarterbacks," he said, according to The Oklahoman. "And now, all of a sudden, we can play a little better defense and some other people can't play defense.
"Funny how people can't play defense when they have pro-style quarterbacks over there, which we've had. They're all playing in the NFL right now."
And Gundy called it last year:

“I think that in five years, you’re going to see the SEC playing offensive football like this league,” Gundy said inside Boone Pickens Stadium on Monday afternoon.

This is because of the new coaches that have come into the league: Sumlin, Malzahn, Pinkel to go along with already offensive minded coaches Richt, Spurrier.

That's because "any other league" hasn't won the national title for seven straight years, nor do they regularly beat the Big 12 in the Cotton Bowl.
Stoops will have a point when he starts winning BCS bowls again and when he ever beats an SEC team in a big game.
He's likely to get that chance vs Alabama in a few weeks. We'll see what happens.

No, they just had a couple of years without good QBs.
The SEC brought in a couple of Big 12 QBs and Mark Richt kicked all his reserve QBs off his team and now they are helping out other schools.
But seriously, the QB cupboard was really bare in the SEC for some reason for a couple of years. Jefferson at LSU?

Next year the SEC offenses will likely suck again due to all of the starting quarterbacks leaving.
It's about where the talent was and SEC schools have been more talented defensively in recent years than they have been on offense.

The dominance of the University of SEC must not be questioned by the weak-minded!

Big Game Bob will once again have a chance to prove the superiority of the mighty Big 12 vs the overrated SEC this bowl season.
Lets see if it works out a little better for him than last year.

The SEC did have some really good QB play this year. Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi State were really the only teams with subpar QB play. Half of the starting QB's from the SEC this year will probably make an NFL roster whenever they declare/graduate (Manziel, Franklin, Mettenberger, McCarron, Murray, Marshall, Bo Wallace, Jeff Driskel at a different position), and Connor Shaw is a borderline draft projection who was a very solid college player.

I have my differences with your posts most of the time, but agree on that. Let's see what OU does with UA. I don't think that it will be pretty with UA winning.
