Michigan St played 4. Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio St, and Notre Dame.
Michigan St has the much better win.
Baylor 41, Oklahoma 12
Baylor 17, Oklahoma State 49
Baylor 30, Texas 10
Baylor scored 59 or more points against seven opponents and only twice were held under 40, including today's season low of 30 versus Texas. Moreover, the Bears held eight opponents to 17 points or less, including two ranked teams.
Michigan State 26, Iowa 14
Michigan State 14, Minnesota 3
Michigan State 34, Ohio State 24
Michigan State 13, Notre Dame 17
Michigan State held opponents to 17 points or less 10 times, including six times of six points or less. The Spartans offense was very inconsistent, but did enough to win them all except the close Notre Dame loss.
Certainly, Baylor's more recent loss was ugly. They also had an ugly 3-point win against TCU and a 10-point win over Kansas State. Every other game was a blowout with the closest being today's 20-point win. Michigan State didn't have an ugly loss, but eight of their victories were within two scores, including games against Western Michigan, South Florida and Purdue, teams you would expect a top five team to dominate.
The teams are close, but I would give the edge to Baylor.
