I enjoyed that.

No Big Ten in the title game and ND gave the Big Ten champions their only loss of the season.

Not bad, way better than having Urban Meyer win this game.

Hooray for Sparty! MSU-Stanford will be a good game, two old school teams going at it.

I agree! Living in Ohio, I don't think I could have taken 0$U going to the title game. 0$U fans are already annoying, arrogant, ignorant, pompous, etc. This would just make it worse.

I would rather have another $EC champ than have 0$U go to the title game.

Michigan State did the Big 10 a favor. If OSU had to play Flordia St. things would have been really, really ugly.

If FSU holds down the Auburn D then perhaps you are right. But I really don't think that's going to happen and Ohio State would likely play a good game against either one of those schools. We'll never know.

RE: Thank You Michigan State!
Think for a second how hard picking team #4 for the playoffs would have been this year. With Oklahoma State, Ohio State, and Missouri losing, I think Alabama is a shoe in at #3. The #4 would come down to the P5 conference champions among Baylor, Stanford, and Michigan State. Baylor and Michigan State have one bad loss, and Stanford has two mediocre losses but against a great strength of schedule. I'd hate to have to decide that one.

It would have been tough to pick against Michigan St the way they looked tonight.

I would think Baylor would be the choice, but Stanford would have a case as well. The thing we'll have to watch for in this type of scenario is if the committee would bypass Alabama with both Baylor and Stanford. Without a formula like the BCS, determining who those four teams is subject to the whims of the individuals on the committee.

Exactly. While I think FSU has a narrow advantage over Auburn, I believe they would have curb-stomped Ohio State.

RE: Thank You Michigan State!
Congratulations Dexter Devil and thank you Spartans! Well it looks like ESPN will be pleased with an SEC vs ACC match up for the national title. I'm glad Auburn will have a chance to defend the SEC streak, but also to defend the streak of our State. Teams from the State of Alabama will now have a chance to win 5 national championships in a row. When you think about that it is in itself quite a staggering accomplishment for a small State. And it is unprecedented at 4. We've been fortunate. And, I think Michigan State is underrated at #9 and will remain underrated if they aren't somewhere in the top 5 when the final regular season vote comes in. I also think it's a shame that Missouri will not play in a BCS game. They are very deserving.

Michigan State is a worthy conference champion. I was rooting for Ohio state tonight but could not have been more impressed with Michigan state and their secondary.
