I kinda like that. Mix it up a little. I wish there were either 28 or 32 teams, because having 2 conference with 2 divisions each I like better.

But FYI, the East has won the last 2 championships. 3 out of the last 6. 4 out of the last 8. And 5 out of the last 10. Pretty even.

Hmmm...on the Detroit Pistons pre-game show they just said that the NBA is considering getting rid of divisions and just having the Easstern and Western conferences. Hmmm...

don't take that as gospel. (future) commissioner Silver said he has a committee taking a look at the value of divisions and if they still make sense. They're not considering anything yet

I completely agree. In baseball it serves some purpose, but in the NBA there really aren't any rivalries. Can anyone think of one legitimate NBA rivalry that exists today?
