Competition, Pride, Revenue, Exposure, Definitive Champion... in some order.

How is a champion that doesn't play everybody in their conference more definitive than a champion that plays every team in the conference?

Does that get split amongst the fans? When do I get my check from the AAC?

... definitive champion when round robin is no longer possible. I'm with you... I would have preferred for conferences to stay at a round robin number, but that ship has sailed.

I could not be more impressed with Michigan State's secondary. Ohio state is getting nothing, and there is a lot of man to man coverage. Going to see some of those guys on Sundays.

Both MSU cornerbacks are projected to be playing Sundays. A lot of teams have a shut down cornerback but the fact that MSU has two of them is just absolutely ridiculous.

I hope their showing tonight is enough to keep them in the top 14 rankings so they can be slotted to play Stanford in the Rose Bowl.

My takeaway from tonight is that the best aspect of a conference championship game is that it keeps undeserving teams out of the National Championship game.

I wonder what Baylor would be thinking not playing an extra game in prime time and getting left out of a playoff for not having that extra prime time game. We can play this game both ways.

You lost me there. How does MSU drop from 10 to 15 by beating #2?

Game would've happened anyways as a tie breaker, just so you know, would've happened 5? Years ago if Wisconsin hadn't made it a 3 way split for the championship, another reason we started a championship game.

And if anyone cares, I hate O$U more than I hate scUM.

Does a 12-1 Baylor/Big 12 Champ stand a better shot at making the playoffs than an 11-1 version of itself?

How were we favorites the first year? It was pretty even and it took a miracle for us to win the regular season game, the game, was centered around that and it being a rematch, not a definite pick over another.
