Well right now the results say it might be true. Marshall hasn't beaten a respectable team away from home this year, and has struggled beating even bad ones. Maryland is a pretty decent team and while not a true road game there would likely be more Maryland fans than Marshall there. Marshall has a lot to prove in terms of their performance away from home.

Or...you are a little butt hurt because you lost very badly to Marshall. We play very well at home, but our players deserve more respect than being told they suck.

I am proud of those kids, and I am proud of all of their effort. Yes, Rice bested us (congratulations on a very solid performance), but it doesn't mean we suck. We aren't better than Rice, yet we are better than ECU. I know, it hurts.

Normally, I ignore idiots who post crap like this. It is too much. Talk about me or any other message board fan with which you have a problem. Leave our players alone. They have earned respect (about 20+ points worth where you are concerned), and some will play their last down in this bowl. Screw you and your ignorance on calling out our young players or any other team for that matter.

Why are ECU fans talking smack in a Marshall Bowl assignment thread, for the bowl that we would have wanted for ECU (Outside the Fiesta of course).

Agreed. I have a lot of respect for ECU. In re-reading my thread, I can see where that may be misinterpreted. ECU is a very good team, and they have been our rivals and an extremely solid conference mate for the past few years.

I think all of these schools have a reason to be proud. No, we can't all be champions, but I am confident we can all claim to have a team of stellar young men willing to try.

VERY proud of our team. Only two teams got to even be there today, and we were one of them. Thanks to all the Sons of Marshall for giving us a great season and allowing us to say We Play for Championships.

Congratulations to all of our conference mates. It was an exciting season, and for some the last in CUSA. Best of luck going forward. I hope CUSA dominates in every bowl. I will be rooting for you!
