Congrats to Bowling Green
Just wanted to say congrats on a great season. You guys gave us a throughout beatdown. We haven't lost a game that bad in maybe 4 or 5 years. Your QB is gonna be a good one! He lit us up the whole night. We got no pressure and the seams down the middle to the TE killed us.

Jordan Lynch could have had a career game and we would have still lost.

Congrats guys! Hopefully you get to keep your coach. Seems like every time a team wins a MAC Championship they lose their head coach.

Classy post, epasnoopy.

While we agree that BGSU was simply the stronger team on the field tonight, I wonder how much of it was "mental." This was the classic tightly-wound favorite getting all the press clippings and peering ahead to a huuuuge stage vs. a team given little attention and nothing to lose.

RE: Congrats to Bowling Green
Let me add that while it's much easier to say from a third-party like myself, NIU shouldn't hang its head too low tonight. Most of us would kill for the stretch of years you've had, and the gravy train will likely continue a bit longer into the future given the gobs of publicity and attention the school's had. 12-1 (2-0 B1G) is still a stellar season no matter how much you slice it.

RE: Congrats to Bowling Green
Yeah, i'm definitely disappointed but there really was no question who played the much better game tonight. Heck, not even Florida State did us that dirty.

BG really knows how to kill our dreams though lol, 2003 and now 2013. I guess they celebrated their 10-year anniversary of ruining our dreams in 2003.

Well done, Falcons. NIU ran into a buzz saw tonight. I think Johnson was POd about that Owens 3rd team All MAC thing.

YOU BLEW IT FALCONS! 8 MILLION DOWN THE TUBE; ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS LOSE! :)

Okay, now that I got that out of the way...

Congrats to Bowling Green! You guys played an extraordinary game tonight and I think you will represent well in the postseason.

Great season by Northern Illinois; I also think you will represent well.

It's really too bad that Bowling Green couldn't have been undefeated as well. Not only would the conference as a whole gained from the bowl revenue, but I think the Falcons would represent the conference well like Northern did last year.

Unfortunately* I think that BG has a great recipe for games that would allow them to endure unlike relying on a star player. Tough defense, balanced offense, physical play all around. The MAC East will probably belong to you next season too.

(*This is my selfish pro-Ohio side talking.)

Great season guys, get some wins in the postseason!

Never saw this coming. What an impressive win by BG! The Falcons looked like they were on the edge of a BCS bowl.

Great season by the Huskies. Where can we chip in the get Lynch one big going away gift? So happy we don't see that guy again.

Congrats BG, never saw this coming. I figured that if you won it would've been down to the wire, it obviously wasn't.

While I as much as the next guy wished that we had $8 million coming in to the conference, there is a silver lining out there. We may not get the BCS bid, but if we can make a statement by dominating our bowls, we'll still have some good momentum going into the CFP era.

I also wanted to say congrats to BG, great game by them. I have a feeling after the next couple years the rest of the MAC is going to be anxiously anticipating the graduation of Matt Johnson.

Bittersweet victory. NIU had an off nite. It is nice to see BG w/ another championship. It's been a surprisingly long time.

It's not. DT is a troll looking to start a flame.

And NIU had an "off nite" [sic] because we made them have an "off nite" [sic] with our game plan, execution of that game plan, and a whole boat-load of talent.

He's just one those morons who wants to place some type of blame on BG for the conference losing money when they don't have a damned thing to do with that. That lays at the feet of the BCS system designed to take money from our conference and to a lesser extent, NIU, for getting the ever loving snot kicked out of them!

You made Lynch sick?

O without Brown and a sick Lynch was why it wasn't as great.

Your O was much better than expected and our D played terrible.

RE: Congrats to Bowling Green
Uh-huh...and we were missing our top WR from last year (Gallon) his back up (Cohen) and our top deep threat (Joplin) rolled an ankle during the first series. on defense we were missing All MAC rover Gabe Martin, his back up Justin Ford and starting CB's Hunter (out all year) and his back up, Delk (out most of the year). Injuries happen..you either have the depth and character to overcome them or you don't. Lynch had a cold? Didn't seem to bother him when we called off the dogs on your final drive...he was running free and easy when were weren't in his face. :)
