I am watching this with disbelief and thinking why not us for next year?

BG wasn't that good a couple years ago..

Not good. That just cost EMU and the rest of the MAC a TON of money!!! And the hits just keep on coming! Really the worst case scenario for this much maligned conference.

Come on!!! Your credibility...Do you really watch the MAC? BG crushed us last year and damn near hung 60 on us this year!

Why not us for next year? Because BG has built themselves a really solid program and we...don't even have a damn coach!

100% right on the financial hit EMU and the MAC took, say 750k per school.

MAC is doing well otherwise. Might have five bowl teams.

Wouldn't it be nice to see NIU vs. say Boise or Fresno in the Poinsettia Bowl?

Yep and BG was going to a comparable bowl regardless but losing that BCS Bowl money really hurts finanancially and with exposure. Not to mention, Jordan Lynch would have represented the MAC in NYC for the Heisman presentation. All these things would have been great for every school in the MAC and its alumni.

Bobby, Bobby. Bobby..

Why the bitterness/anger ? I was just making a observation on a college FB game.. We are pulling for the same EMU football team.

Yeah, sorry, I really do watch the MAC, whenever they are on TV or the internet ( I do travel alot). I really love football (pro and college). Sorry that I had a brain fart. I was thinking back in 2011 when we lost 33-31 to BSU and not BGSU. You guys know I drink my crown royal during this time lol.

I still believe in this EMU FB team and i am still pulling for them along with NU, NIU, Ohio State, TCU and Stanford. Don't ask me why these team..

Remember that It's easier to kick a man/team when they're down but it take courage to help pick them up and real character to dust them off and help them walk again.

I know EMU is having it hard and I don't wish this on anyone. This team has gone thru alot this year and I can't help but not believe this season will only make them much stronger men in the future. Change is hard enough (losing a teammate, losing a coach, losing fb season, losing fan support etc... This school has gone thru enough this year and I am hopeful the tide will start changing with a new HC in 2014.

Just for the record, I am only committing myself to EMU football for the next 20 years, and if we haven't got it right. I am done and will stop supporting them and look for another team (lmao). Who knows I may start supporting CMU or WMU. Just kidding(?).

Go easy on me and this team and at the EMU bowl game, drinks are on me.. Deal?

You would call that building the MAC brand, and with this BGSU lost, it really hurt our conference brand and allow for others (non-mac people) who had been just sitting and waiting for our strongest team to fall so they could point back and say I told you so...

BGSU is a very good team and NIU had a very bad game on Friday.. Only one game lost in the MAC conference in two years. Other then Ohio State and BAMA, how many teams can say this?

Yes, this game costed us $$$$$$$$$ but we need to bring $$$$$$$$$ into the MAC for other schools ourselves with bowl game lbs..

Pudge, your optimism is good but I currently view the state of EMU football to be similar to BG football in the same way that Jennifer Lawrence is similar to Susan Boyle: they're both women and that's about the end of the similarity.

Bowling Green was a juggernaut in the MAC this year and you cannot think, even in your WILDEST dreams that EMU will have that type of season next year. I'll still have that drink with you, but at best, we'll be drinking to another losing season, I'm afraid.

I respect and honor your thoughts.. We will have a drink but it will be for a winning season, if we land Baber... This is the way to go for us.. Heather throw money and whatever else he wants to come here..

PS
I would rather take olivia wilde or Kerri Washington if I had to make a choices...

I don't care.

And watching NIU get blown out in a BCS game would have done nothing for the brand.

Pudge, great choices and don't forget about Adrianna Lima too!

If we have a winning season, we're having a kegger!

They showed well last year against a pretty good FSU team, they've accomplished things that EMU will never do EVER, sooo...

Agreed. It would've been nice to see Lynch at the Heisman ceremony, but it wouldn't have been fun watching Oklahoma State blow them out in the Fiesta Bowl, which almost certainly would've happened.
