RE: All tickets are free for the UCF at SMU game....
Dallas weather shows 27 degrees with a 10-15 mile per hour nne wind tomorrow......
yeah......seriously doubt they will draw casual fans tomorrow with that weather plus their 5-6 record coming in plus folks who want June Jones out......that's a bad combo to draw fans......

And to think that people in central Texas look down on El Paso and here we are, basking in 60 degree weather. I was out picking up leaves with only a long sleeve t-shirt. Love it.

weather sucked here yesterday and today in the dallas area...i got about 6 inches of ice pellets in my yard...haven't left the house since yesterday afternoon...wouldn't even venture out to the game tomorrow...not the safest of driving conditions...and we people in texas don't know how to drive in the ice/snow!

so that wasn't snow?
I almost asked earlier in the Apogee photo thread if that was snow or ice, but figured with so much on the ground that was a stupid question.
I've never seen anywhere close to 6" of ice pellets. Maybe 2" is the most I've ever seen. Couldn't even imagine 6.

I don't think anyone will drive to this game. The roads are awful. But, if anyone does go, I hope they stay safe. This should be one sloppy game. Their field has to be frozen. I hope no one brakes any bones out there.

It is ice. I almost fell walking across my driveway today. When you walk on it, you hear it cracking. I had around 3 inches at my house, and I live about 2 miles from Apogee. I can see the stadium from my backyard.

Can you honestly blame them? I give them kudos for trying to bring fans considering the weather conditions here in DFW. We'll be at 17 in the morning for a high of 28 and kickoff I believe it's at 11am so it might be in the low 20's for the entire game. From what I read they'll give free parking and free coffee/hot chocolate. I would go but I went to my parents house 35 miles to the south to enjoy the cold weather and eat home made food and won't be back in Dallas until Sunday afternoon.

Going to be a great long term series. Now Rick needs to get you an A&M, Baylor or Tech. They love playing in Dallas so that's why they do the 2-1 deals with us

P94.....you tell Rick that--I'm personna non grata due to too many of the wrong opinions.
I sat in our snow game back in 1976 at old Fouts Field against Bobby Bowden's FSU Seminoles but I was much younger (of course).
I would not be able to travel to Denton tomorrow if we even had a game with all this ice business.
Good luck, Pony94! Wear as many layers as you can.

I hear ya. Somebody would have to pay me to sit in conditions like that for four hours. Maybe June Jones will just decide to not throw any passes to keep the clock running.
How bad does this suck for UCF? Most of their players have probably never even been outside in 20 degree weather, they already have the BCS game locked up and they have to do this. Maybe they should just forfeit.

Here is the schedule:
2014 @UNT 9-6
2015 @SMU 9-12
2016 @UNT 9-3
2017 @SMU 9-9
2018 @UNT 9-1
2019 @SMU 9-7
2020 @UNT 9-5
2021 @SMU 9-11
2022 @UNT 9-10
2023 @SMU 9-9
2024 @UNT 9-7
2025 @SMU 9-6
I think it will be a great series for both programs. It needs a catchy name. I'd like to call it the "Fall Brawl", even though it won't technically be played in autumn. Needs a trophy too.

I think North Texas plays plenty of regional Texas teams now that we are in C-USA. I'd much rather see UNT sign a long term home and home series with the biggest name program with a large media following we can get (maybe a team like Michigan, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Arkansas, or BYU). I think one of those programs might value the opportunity to play in Dallas in front of potential recruits every other season.

While I appreciate the story and history behind the Safeway Bowl name, it just sound bush league to me. I don't think that name serves either program well.

Those teams won't do home and home. We are getting $1,500,000 to go to Michigan for a one and done
