It's mostly ice, so not much to do other than sled maybe. Impossible to walk on sidewalks right now - my corgi pulled my feet out from under me when I took him out.
That does suck, very dangerous as well….I grew up on the coast of NC and we do not see much snow but the company I worked at for almost 15 years has a corporate office in Wisconsin and I had a 3 year tour of duty up that way. The snow and ice was fun for about 2 weeks then I started to hate it very quickly. Typically there was always some snow on the ground from around Thanksgiving to after Easter.
Back in North Carolina now and it would not hurt my feelings if I never saw snow again. Stay safe and hopefully everyone gets their power back soon….I have been through that deal before, no fun. The only thing worse is being without power after a hurricane in the hot muggy weather.
I like snow in NC because you get a day or two of nice scenery then it is back in the 50's-70's a couple days later to clear things up.
The ice crap that Dallas has right now they can keep. I want nothing to do with that stuff.
We've had a week long icing over here in NC back in 2003. I also have many reasons why I never want to see anything like that here again.
Same here...Im 5O miles inland and been through many hurricanes...that storm was worse than any of them including Floyd that put me out of power for a week. That ice storm downed 7 giant pines on my property. It cost my 2 grand in clean up costs. Luckily none hit the house.
