The MACC has the college football stage all to its own tonight.

I guess the big issue is how man BG fans will make the journey to Detroit.

Will say 10K BG fans come to watch them?

If fans won't show for this game what would get them to show?

Here is a partial answer: BGSU sold out their allotments of 4K. Will have 10 buses, etc.

My guess is that if there were 2 weeks between the last game and the MACC that 4K could be maybe 2x as the ticket sales process has time to work.

BTW, someone I have done e-mail who knows the REAL numbers for the MACC years ago. I believe there was a Thursday MACC where the actual attendance (butts in seats, not papered given out tickets) was less than 4K I believe. The announced number was maybe 3x the actual attendance.

That might have been the year before the MAC and ESPN moved the MACC to a Friday (rather than Thursday).

It would be nice if there is say 15K actual folks in seats.

Tixs being sold are lower bowl, both sideline and end zone at very nice prices.

Too bad we can't end the regular season a week earlier so that there would be 2 weeks between the end of the season and the MACC. Would give people more time to prepare and improve attendance.

Detroit dodged a bullet by having that bad snow/ice storm slip by to our south. Weather's all dry through tonight and tomorrow.

How hilarious would it be if the MACCG actual attendance were higher?

Both schools sold out of their initial allotment given to them by the conference.

I still think its a tough game to make for NIU fans. 3.5 hr drive and then lose an hour switching to EST. Only fans able to make that are the one's who probably took the day off work.

Feel bad for NIU fans who drove all the way to see this game.

Hey, until the last couple years that Ford Field venue has not been kind to us. I thought maybe we had turned our fortunes but now we are 2-3 overall there in MAC Championship games.

I hate Ford Field. It has killed more than one magic season. This is just the latest.

And a BCS berth. Man I pity Northern Illinois poor success at Ford Field. Poor saps.

We have yet to play well at Ford Field, even when we sneak out with a win. Hate that place. Sure hope we don't end up in LCPB.
