Let's be honest here... he wasn't the only person who heard the same story. It came from someone at UC who had a grind to pick with CTT, IMO.

Agree MLB. Rath doesn't make crap up. Someone else might have, but don't shoot the messenger.

I honestly think that rumor started from someone hearing that Tommy likes to golf and taking it from there...

Please - I was also a part of "Golf gate".

Remember folks, just because you get a well packaged contradictory explanation, doesn't mean there was no truth to the matter. Not to say that the explanation wasn't truthful, I am sure it was. But lets just say it might not have been the "entire" story.

Truth be told, I commend Rath for having the self control not to reveal his primary source of info (here or anywhere) publicly. It was the right thing to do, although after the heat he (and to a lesser extent I) took I am not sure I would have pulled that punch.

Might be best to let sleeping dogs lie.

Aw heck. All the folks round here from the non-tron analog world knew the deets. The rest of ya'all...got to hit a road trip or a barstool to get that.

Because someone else reported golf gate as false means it's not true? How do we know their source didn't lie to them? The sheep syndrome around here is uncanny.

I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong but the truth lies somewhere in the middle I do believe.
