It basically stacks up like this. Either Rice or MT will be in the Armed Forces Bowl.
If Rice loses to Marshall, MT goes to St. Pete, Rice goes to Armed Forces. If Rice wins the CCG, MT goes to Armed Forces and Marshall to St. Pete.
This is outstanding for Rice
I'd rather see Rice go to HoD bowl and face a Big 10 opponent and let UNT go to Fort Worth. I think that would be a good bowl for UNT and would work well for Rice.
That's my logic as well, especially since we won the West and played in the Armed Forces Bowl last year.

RE: Tweet from MT beat writer re: Bowls
Notre Dame accepted Pinstripe. Had the option to take Hawaii. It came conspicuously very soon after Peterson was reported to have accepted to the job at Washington. Wonder if that was a factor or if New York added some incentives to sweeten the deal for ND?
Not yet sure if this puts Hawaii back in play for C-USA. You would have to likely assume that it will.

I wonder if the director of the Pinstripe bowl started crying like our sun bowl director did when he found out ND was coming to the sun bowl? LOL
