They won 9 games and their first bowl then started the next year 3-0 or 4-0 and cracked the top 25 and had DW. Was it crazy then?

There is tangible evidence based on a tweet I read yesterday that this year's attendance for Tigers football was the best since 2007.

That's progress.

Better home games next year will only increase that.

Yeah, I sorta roughed it out and it was about 28,500. Not bad and headed in the right direction.

I wonder what it was in comparison with the rest of the AAC.

I was going to post thatthis era is a taste of what it would be like.

We had 10k + travel to NO bowl (a minor bowl)

We had 40k + fill the LB stadium for week day games against Sou Miss and UL Cards.

Don't be obtuse. We were ranked #25 for one week. We barely scratched the surface of what I'm talking about. I'm talking about big time sustained success ala Boise State in past years or Northern Illinois the past two seasons. I'm talking about long winning streaks, winning conference championships and cracking the top 15 national rankings.

The first three games of 2004 is as close to crazy as we've been since the early 1960's...and it was pretty fun and momentum was building. Then we proceeded to lose 3 of the next 5 games.

Just asking a question, dawg. If we want a championship game with 11 members we'll need a waiver because of NCAA rule 17.9.5.2 that currently requires 12 members for a championship game.

As I recall, the original poster asked a hypothetical question regarding what it would be like if we had 2-3 of those seasons consecutively. Might I suggest either reading glasses or a class in reading comprehension.
