How does a coach conduct two press conference just three days apart when he has to try and explain a win over the top dog and a loss to a nobody but can’t find the words for either?

Well, nobody beat North Carolina and nobody is number one in rebounding in the country and nobody is thirty fifth in defense against field goals and nobody is playing Northeastern on Saturday and nobody will be there and I hope nobody wins.

if you look at UABs clubhouse on ESPN.com they lead the nation in rebounding. I dont see how beating UNC is an upset with that kind of firepower. One of their two losses is to #19 New Mexico in double overtime. They must be doing something right.

Don't worry about the haters in early-December. Just win in March.

I'm not worried, just annoyed that so-called journalists/experts who get paid to cover a sport perpetuate the false idea that schools outside of certain conferences aren't good.

Love it. This is exactly what we need. Bring on the bulletin board material. It's December and these boys are hungry!

Completely ridiculous. UNC loses to two really good teams, but everyone spins us as "nobodies." I'd like to think that it's more of UAB and Belmont being vastly underrated at this point.

Awesome locker room material, however.

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but that UNC win was HUGE.

Belmont has been very good the last couple of years and one of the better teams in Tennessee (local Nashville radio was arguing that they were better than Memphis last year). Belmont was a good team that beat UNC.

UAB IS A GOOD TEAM THAT BEAT UNC.

This article highlights what is wrong with college sports in general. The media assumes that the big "power" conferences are just better with no basis for it. I am preaching to the choir so I will get off this soap box.

Let them hate. I've got a feeling Haase can just use these comments as even more motivation for this team to keep hustling and out-working its opponents on the court.
