I might go to the basketball game. Although I do want to go to the football game just to yell to June that Kevin Costner would be a better football coach

I'm working on Saturday. It's going to be a small crowd ... Dallas doesn't go to games like this where the home team is expected to lose and it's 30 degrees with sleet. The whole city will be shut down.

Mainly they don't go to the games because they don't want to get killed by the people who don't know how to drive in the ice but decide to drive anyway

Will be interesting to see how this affects the game. These temps would seemingly be bad for the Florida team, but also favor the team with the better run game (both UCF, of course).

I have a pretty large group of people coming in from Orlando for this one. None of them own the proper attire. Should be fun.

It was 81 today and gorgeous. Winter in Texas - the one season you can enjoy your entire wardrobe all in the same week.

Yes, today was one of the nicest days of the year. It was spectacular.

Last time UCF played at SMU 2 years ago....SMU was coming off their biggest win in almost 25 years (upset win at TCU), yet the 32,000 seat stadium wasn't even 1/2 full.
Unless SMU is playing a BCS team from the State of TX...crowds are generally not that good, regardless of weather.

SMU is a small, elite, private school that does not admit any high school senior with a pulse. Add the G5 label, and averaging 20K in attendance isn't surprising.
But with temps in the 20's and an ice storm in the forecast, it could be around 5,000 on Saturday.

5,000? This city shuts down when it gets that cold. I'm worried it's going to be about 300 extremely uncomfortable UCF fans and that's it.

You could be right. 5,000 is probably optimistic.
Well, Dallas is known for its shopping. Get lots of cold weather gear.

This is NOT a flame, but I honestly don't know if there will be 2,000 fans in the stadium on Saturday. A few hundred will be UCF fans.
Cold weather + depressing atmosphere = GO LOUISVILLE

I'm assuming it will be a healthy dose of the run. I would expect an old school O'Leary game of run first and only run if you don't have to pass. No point in risking injuries in the last game for style points if we don't have to. But if Gilbert plays and it turns into a shootout in 22 degree weather, all bets are off.
