New Orleans Bowl attendance
Would like to here from my good friends in Lafayette and ask them if we will have more than our usual 200 Tulane fans in the Superdome for the New Orleans Bowl as they love to post and belittle Tulane on their websites over the.last few years. Roll Green Wave

Hey I've been to non Cajun Tulane games and we are talking a few thousand. Pictures don't lie. BTW there are a ton of UL alumni like myself in NOLA and around the region. I would imagine few of us were able to stay in Lafayette. I would love to move back but NOLA isn't a bad place to spend your life. Anyways I'm expecting a record shattering crowd of around 20,000 Greenies and about 50,000 Cajun fans! The pre and post game parties will be epic!

I don't think we'll get to 70K. But, I do think the game will comfortably break 60K which would be impressive.

70K would blow away my wildest dreams JD and I hope you're right.

Last year's Fiesta Bowl broke the 70K mark ranking it 5th in attendance of the 35 bowls. Imagine a C-USA/Belt matchup that would make the top 5 attendance-wise.

I think over 50K would be a great showing for both leagues.

I expect between 55,000 to 65,000 Of a Tulane and Cajun fans in the Superdome that would break attendance records and propel the New Orleans Bowl into the top 10 in bowl attendance.

The one good thing is no matter what attendance record we set it will stand for a long time if it's true that the NOB will have to move out of the Superdome to Tulane stadium because of the college playoff rule. That is not a knock on your new stadium only saying it can't hold 50-60,000 people. should be a fun weekend wouldn't mind seeing Tulane's band marching down Bourbon Street with the Cajun band on Thursday night.

Actually I think that would be a poor showing by CUSA. The game had 48K+ last year when the Cajuns played East Carolina where they only brought about 3000. We're talking about a local N.O. team playing this year. If they can't bring 15K it would be a poor showing. If they do, you're looking at 60K or better. I'm hoping that's the case.

70k for two local teams in a local bowl. So impressive.

Only individual tickets available. Awesome! I hope tickets sales through the athletic departments are doing just as well.

Double the 15,000 Tulane's fans at the New Orleans Bowl that you estimate. Count on 30,000 plus Tulane alumni and fans at the game. The only legitimate knock ULL has had against Tulane University of Louisiana was its home attendance. You will be pleasantly surprised on the 21 st!

At this point we can all throw the home attendance out the window UL doesn't average 40,000 at home. Its all about exciting your fan base for the game which it appears that you have. I look forward to a great attendance this year. No matter who brings how many we should break the record easily. Looking forward to the game.
