Our game vs ECU in the conference tournament that year was completely atrocious though. Absolutely disgusting. Aaron Johnson put up like 38, but no one else on the team played with any sense of urgency. They were just standing on their heels on defense and ECU had their way with us. We got Clemson because Davis can't win on a neutral court.

I'm also happy about our winning conference, obviously, but we backdoored the hell out of it. We got first place because two other teams lost two games to two of the worst teams in the.conference.

That game in the conference tournament set us up for the seeding we got in the NCAA tournament & the resulting thrashing.

I know this sounds like an excuse but thats the way Clemson kicked ouor arse.

3. The matchup was completely in Clemson's favor from the beginning and many would have expected the outcome that occurred (even within the Blazer fanbase).

How so? We were both in the first four. It's not like we were the 16 playing the 1.

We got completely obliterated by a similarly ranked opponent.

Maybe it's just because he's a dook boy who isn't impressed with us beating the Heels.

This the same toe-sucking "twin brother" of Vitale?! The same ESPN "tool" that railed against UAB getting an at-large/play-in bid after they clenched the Conference regular season title in 2011? If he ever showed his ugly face in Bartow Arena, he'd be booed out of existence. Read my lips ...F*** Jay Bilas!

Did I say anything about seedings or rankings? I was talking about matchups. UAB did not matchup well to Clemson.

If he's in Bartow Arena...it means we are playing a major out of conference game at home...one big enough for ESPN to buy TV rights to. We'll be too excited to boo anyone.

03-lmfao I just can't stand to hear either of their voices, especially Vitale's, if he's doing color commentary, I'm watching something else, man. When he does a Duke game and they're winning, he sounds like he's about to climax or something.

03-lmfao Not me! I have a special sign made up just for him and Vitale if they ever set foot in Bartow Arena to do a game.

Of course being the 68th best team gets you a nit bid due to auto bids from other conferences.

I still think we will make the ncaas as our team improves over the season

We'll...that would probably just come across as whiny...and would re-enforce their point that UAB isn't ready for the big time.

As long as he doesn't act like an ***hole like me and hold inappropriate signs and yell inappropriate things to the other team/coaches just because Dickey Nutt coached SEMO and brought his two sons with the same unfortunate last name and then throw a crybaby hissy fit about it as if the game was about him and not the players on the floor...he'll be fine.

Speaking of Jay Bilas, and I know it's a poor reflection on me, but I couldn't even watch/listen to the UNC/Mich. St. game last night because of him. I just followed the play-by-play online.

I am in the minority (as usual) but I like Bilas. He is arrogant yes and biased toward the big conferences, but who at ESPN isn't.

He is funny on twitter and knows the game.

People with a dry wit or often misunderstood and are attacked by people who don't understand their sense of humor.

Thanks. I'm fully aware my position is childish, but it is the way I feel about the guy. Based on your post, I'll start following him on Twitter. We will see how long that lasts.
