Based on numbers he should at least be behind Johnson at BG. Other than winning the head-to-head matchup and just being a Senior, nothing else makes much sense in that decision.

You could make a case for Fred Lee to third team and for BG's quarterback to third team QB...

I am amused that they gave Dri Archer 3rd team KO return specialist.

I don't know that he should have gotten the award or not. He only had two returns this season. No doubt he is the best KO returner in the MAC, maybe the best the MAC has ever had. The problem is that he is so good, no one would kick to him. It's a weird award in that way. I can see the argument that you give it to someone who had a bunch of decent returns, but the fact that opposing teams only kicked to him twice all season (and he housed one of those 100 yds.) is a testimony to him.

It's like a great DB who doesn't get that many picks or breakups because they never throw at him.

I stopped reading as soon as I saw he had Jordan Lynch #2 behind Keith Wenning. Honestly... Lynch is currently #2 in Heisman projections. What's the point of reading anything else Conrad has to say?

Haha it's funny that everyone gets offended when MB&G mentioned TO getting 3rd place. What you guys don't realize is that he was probably shocked that they rated him so HIGH.

He was quite open about his bias towards the pocket passing quarterback.

Don't know that they were offended or just uncertain as to what he meant. I assure you that NO Toledo fan feels Owens deserves the honor. Don't know about all the QBs in the league, but Johnson would be my choice. Came off the bench early in the year and led his team to an East title. Owens had some help in Toledo's disappointing season but underperformed consistently, except against BG. I half hope Johnson gets All-MAC down the road to make up for it.







OK, no I don't but he still deserved it this year.
