Interesting read by our new Dean of the UAB School of Medicine. Glad he enjoyed and appreciated our team's performance at the Bart. Here's hoping that more faculty , staff and students get on board with the Blazers.

Dr Vicker's article is a great read and points up that the relationship of facilities to recruiting is present in medical competition as in athletic competition. UAB is not relying upon 1990 facilities to recruit desirable medical people to UAB or upon only one improved facility since then almost a decade ago. UAB needs to provide that same principle of greatness to all its athletic programs. It sure seems to be working well in basketball.

So, I'm unclear. Do you think UABs current athletic facilities are good enough?

The biggest portion of the basketball facilities were built prior to 1990.

Good to see the new SOM dean supporting UAB athletics.

Guys, you HAVE to read this message from Dr. Vickers... either the man was possessed by the ghost of Joe Volker when he wrote this or we have yet another inspirational leader at UAB.

He is very nice guy and he will be the next UAB president AND .....
He will take care of the BOT
