Lance did very well with that post, but he missed 1 thing......
amenities, they are bad bad at 5/3rd. The concessions are worse that
a county fair, we need more open areas, restrooms and concessions
at 5/3rd. Something like what the Yum Center has,

You are not supporting x by going to the game. You would be showing, what most in this city already know, UC has more supporters. Seeing the 3-1 UC to x fans last year was great. I expect the same this year too. What was even better was UC fans drowning out x fans during the game.

This is absolutely the reason almost every XU fan wants the game to go back to home and home. They will never have home court/crowd advantage at US bank. From what I can tell, the UC fan base runs about 50/50 on continuing the game at US Bank.

I will also second the fact that Lance hit the nail on the head with several of his observations and suggestions about 5/3 Arena/The Shoe.

Yeah - x fans don't like US Bank for 2 reasons 1) 3-1 UC fans every year 2) they can't act like delinquents and get away with it

Agreed. I have been as vocal as the next guy about Lance but he is spot on. He said on his blog he will be discussing this tonight and will take calls. Might want to call in and give your two cents.

Based on Mick's "alarmed" comment about sales it's hard to believe we're going to outnumber them the way we did last year.

I am sorry but I will never go to an X-UC game again. It is not a pleasant experience. Tired of the hatred and invective. Would rather see them drop the game. I have been to many but stopped going several years ago, after going for 20+. Watch it on TV. And I am a huge fan, my wife continually harasses me because I get way too involved in the games.

I respect anyone who doesn't go for whatever reason, but I'm really excited about going to USBank for this again this year. It was an awesome thing to see the UC takeover of downtown last year. I hope more of you decide to join. It is worth the few extra bucks. Skip on concessions and park at a free meter (much easier downtown than Clifton) and walk to make up for it IMO.

Seriously people can definitely get things out of perspective. I am sure you have heard some uncalled for hostility and nastiness, especially if you have been sitting anywhere near me.

I kid, I kid.

RE: UC-XU ticket sales slow/ US Bank Arena viability as a home for UC
the games at Fifth Third cannot be judged on attendance this year FOX and ESPN have screwed the fans...the best game
NC State at what was it 4 or 5 on a weekday? Then you have the 4:00 game on a Friday? Then 3 games on Sat at 2:OO??? Sat night at The shoe rocks just like the NIP Saturday afternoon sucks no families with kids in any sports, students working, or sleeping or whatever bot in party mode at that time...This took about 2k off each crowd at min

See how it goes when the conference starts ....downtown has to beg for XU and UC fans and can't even create any interest on a Saturday NIGHT after exams are over!
