Traditional/Regular Season Champions Final Results
For most of college football history, the conference champ(s) were crowned by having the best regular season record. Times have changed, but to recognize this old achievement, this thread for recognizing the teams that finished with the best overall record in the regular season in their conference.

I'm nicknaming the Big Ten award, the Western Cup in honor of the original nickname for the conference, the Western Conference.

Big Ten (Western Cup)
Michigan State 8-0 (Co-Champs)
Ohio State 8-0 (Co-Champs)

ACC
Florida State 8-0 (Outright Champs)

PAC-12
Arizona State 8-1 (Outright Champs)

SEC
Alabama 7-1 (Co-Champs)
Auburn 7-1 (Co-Champs)
Missouri 7-1 (Co-Champs)

Conference USA
Marshall 7-1 (Co-Champs)
Rice 7-1 (Co-Champs)

Mid-American Conference
Northern Illinois 8-0 (Outright Champs)

Mountain West
Fresno State 7-1 (Co-Champs)
Utah State 7-1 (Co-Champs)

The remaining conferences aren't finished with the regular season games, but since they don't have conference championship games will crown their champs the old fashion way anyway. Here's how they stand.

Big 12 Standings
Oklahoma State 7-1
Baylor 7-1
Texas 7-1

Oklahoma State wins a share of the title with a win at Oklahoma. The winner of Texas/Baylor does the same. The Texas/Baylor wins outright with an Oklahoma State loss to Oklahoma.

American Standings
Central Florida 7-0
Cincinnati 6-1
Louisville 6-1

Central Florida has at least a share of the title. They win it outright with a win this week. The Louiville/Cincinnati winner gets a share of it if UCF losses.

Sun Belt Standings
Louisiana-Lafayette 5-1
Arkansas State 5-2

Louisiana-Lafayette has won at least a share of the title. They win it outright with a win over South Alabama this week.

Full Standings coming in next posts.
