I've been ambivalent about the Cajuns ever joining C-USA....
...and still am to an extent though I'll admit since joining this site you guys have given me a lot of food for thought on the subject.

Since I also visit the C-USA forum from time to time, my thoughts about ever competing in C-USA have definitely morphed. I was reading the Tulane N.O. Bowl game thread and I'm now of the opinion that regardless of how the Cajuns would perform on the field in C-USA, it would be worth the move just to watch those arrogant SOB Lolly Polly fans go into total meltdown for having us join that conference.

What a bunch of a**holes they can be.

I apologize if my remark has offended a single anus out there.

Remember anuses have feelings. That's why they give you anesthesia before a colonoscopy.

Every conference has ******** and ******* fans. You and I are no different. !! We all get fired up over this n that.

If ever there was a time to want to be CUSA and not SBC though it's now. I would loathe the idea of Tulane sitting at home with a bowl qualifying record. A shame and sham.

I thought that was because no one actually wanted to know what happened in a Colonoscopy?

Speaking of a shame and a sham, what the heck is going on with this whole who hosts the CUSA title game debate? Marshall fans are apparently livid about playing at Rice.

Marshall posters should be HORRIFIED over the reaction of their fellow posters. I would be. Talk about sour grapes and bitchin'moanin. Rice is hosting and they need to move on. The rub is that Marshall has a better BCS ranking and are ranked higher in human polls but the way CUSA does its calculations, cherry picking polls to use and weight they get, led to Rice > Marshall by a hair. C'est la vie Marshall. Can't complain AFTER.

I would assume they're just upset they can't make the game but to still be complaining days after the announcement... smh. I will NOT miss that fan base. 1/4th of them are AWESOME, 3/4ths intolerable.

If the SBC gets a title game, and Benson ever gets the idea to use rankings to determine the host...someone slap him upside the head.

Are the calculations set in stone prior to the season? If they are, nobody can complain.

They should be thankful its not a "guideline" supervised by a monkey with a dart.

I had my first colonoscopy at the Diagnostic Clinic in Houston many years ago. I recall lying on my side waiting for the good doctor to arrive. He sat on a stool in front of me and I said, "so you're the man who's going to go where no man has gone before?"

He chuckled and told the nurse, "our first virgin of the day".

I think it is the old "circle the wagons" rhetoric. C-USA fans didn't want anyone, until they were announced, and then they defend you because you are one of their own. The same guys talking smack again ULL now would defend you tomorrow if you were in the conference. It is just the way these things go.

a shame and a sham is the fact that teams with 6 wins are even invited to a bowl game. the wild excitement that "OMG we won half our games!" should be dialed back a notch in my view. mediocrity is just that.

Seems like the conference did go through some "interpretation" of the calculations at the season's end. It's obviously a view with some bias, but this is a pretty good read on the subject:

Oh yeah, because WKU is so well treated by the SBC administration when it comes to post season football.

You are leaving. You aren't getting special treatment in the post-season because of that fact. Nor should you.

You do realize not a single WKU fan has said anything about WKU getting special treatment. We've never asked for it. We've never expected it. Some just expect us to be treated like all other SBC members. Personally, I don't expect us to be treated like other SBC members because we're leaving but my personal thoughts are just what I expected not what I think is the right thing to do.
