Three weeks in a row
That a UAB player has been CUSA player of the week. Chad shares it this week with some Marshall player.

Domination.

Somebody asked who was going to replace Memphis as the ass-kicker in this conference.

I vote for us.

I agree. This has the makings of a fantastic year for UAB baksetball. I just hate that Memphis is not around for us to get some payback on them.

Uh, before we get carried away, five teams in C-USA are rated higher than UAB according to Pomeroy: La Tech - 61, Charlotte - 76, Southern Miss - 78, UTEP - 88, and Mid TN - 91. UAB is at 107. Memphis is 11th.

In the Massey College Basketball Ranking Composite, four teams are ahead of UAB (91) with UTEP right behind (93). Memphis is 15th.

How many of those teams ahead of us have played the schedule that we have played? Rutgers is turning out to be crap, but New Mexico and North Carolina are no push overs. Just saying...

If Southern Miss's performance against Louisville is any indication then we shouldn't have a problem with them. That is assuming that we show up to play.

Before YOU get carried away, no teams in C-USA are rated higher than UAB according to me.

Same here!

I believe the 21-point loss to Temple is significantly hurting UAB's computer rating.

UAB will play teams in CUSA & controls its own destiny in regards to its place compared to other conference members.

Before you all get carried away, domination was in reference to the Player of the week awards.

RE: Three weeks in a row
I think the polls will probably judge UAB and other teams with "new" coaches and players more leniently for early season losses IF they turn these around with winning play after the holidays. If UAB can play at full intensity for all 40 minutes as the season progresses, it is a team that any opponent will have a hard time defeating. We defeated UNC while not playing at full intensity for portions of the game Sunday. It is all part of the "learning to win" mindset.

Why are you talking about polls? And new coaches?
