lawsuit threatened....mobile decided it wasn't worth that. western is definitely not worth fighting over.

but they wanted western.

now the asu fans can get on here and say they 'presented' the benefits but it certainly came with a stick in the other hand.

doesn't make asu bad people. again.....arkstfan has swallowed his whistle on this subject. and if anyone knows.....he'd know.

When I posted this last night I didn't do it as a "joke" I fully expected it to happen today. No matter what Todd said to Hanging Chad the GoDaddy was Western's yesterday....or at least 90% Westerns Sunday Morning

what about an injunction? see.....there's so many ways you can use words.

each side is gonna believe whatever they want.

again.....i'm not upset. it's exactly what i expected. and it's one of the things that drove western to seek c-usa. hoops was a large play in it as well but lack of bowl access was also a large part.

If this is the case it kinds of ticks me off. WKU won a football game on the field, and won a bowl invitation along with it, then another fan base gets their panties in a wad and decides to "lawyer up" to force the bowls hand. So ASU has forced a bowl that didn't want them to take them anyway.

I would be fine if ASU presented their case and GoDaddy thought they would be the best fit. That's called getting beat. It happens in life. I can accept that. But the way this has supposedly gone down sounds a lot like a spoiled brat not getting their way and running home for Daddy to take care of it. Just irks me.

Since when was the winner an automatic invite to the bowl?

I heard that if we (ASU) won or lost, we would finish 2nd in conference. And having finished 2nd with 8 wins, would make us attractive to bowls.

It's lost a lot of members due to the ads. It's why many have moved to scout. You gotta run Adblock on there.

RE: asu to go daddy - official
Now I hope this means that we can go back to normalcy if there is such a thing. WKU had a great year and deserve a bowl game if I'm accused of supporting a defector for saying than string me up in the town square and stone me. I wish WKU the best of luck in there new conference. SOME of the ASU fans said some pretty crazy things like defecting and Blaming Cajun fans who by the way have no power to make bowl decisions. Others understood that programs will do what's perceive to be best for them. I support all SBC teams until they are no long conference members and will still pull for defectors in certain situations. We are all two faced and will support anyone that will help our cause. I did pray to the bowl gods for ASU and my prayers were answered. Now I hope we can get back to football because there is one more conference game with big implications so choose your side and have fun because the Cajuns are winning an outright conference championship.

I haven't been to the Hilltopper Haven Message Board in a very long time. After dealing with the virus' on my laptop as well as my smartphone, I decided it wasn't worth the effort. From my perspective, the WKU Scout site is our main Sports Message Board now. Jordan Wells does a great job with that site and he's one of my homeboys so gotta give credit where credit is due.

If that's the story you were told . . . . you were told the wrong story. WKU is in good situation to get a bowl bid. stAte had other options out there as well. I think it will all work out in the end for both schools.

I still have not understood all of the Cajun hate last week. The fact that we were going to the NO Bowl was no secret and we were not (yet) offered a I-Bowl bid. We did not want to be left out in the cold like La Tech was last year by waiting for a better offer.

Congratualtion to ASU and good luck to WKU in securing a bid. It ain't over yet and I am sure our administration is supportive of your efforts.

what i'm hearing.

Pathetic. What a clown college Astate is.

The Sun Belt has a regulation enacted in August of this year.

Insisting that regulations be followed is not pathetic, or clownish.

Pathetic and clownish is turning down a bowl invite in hopes of another, and then complaining about sitting your ass at home.

Sound familiar?

Idiotic. That what is was for MT to trust Benson to get them in a bowl like he said he would. He's a clown too! But to threaten legal action is quite pathetic. Astate is just so pathetic.

Seriously? Nobody threatened legal action and the SBC did not work against WKU.

Bruce Feldman's take on the matter

Bruce Feldman ‏@BFeldmanCBS 1h
GoDaddy's racy but draws line at Bobby P RT @slmandel WKU beat ArkSt SAT, finished with a better record, and GoDaddy bowl still took Ark St.

I'm sure we'll see a lot of uninformed takes of how things panned out.
