RE: BGSU message board.
I was not impressed with Buffalo or BGSU when I watched their last game. I saw nothing from either of them that scared me or made me think NIU can't beat either of them. Watching Mt. Carmel in the IHSA state title games on Sat. was more impressive.

People that watched NIU vs. Akron would have the same opinion of NIU.

I suppose you're one of those who said Alabama could beat Jacksonville a few weeks back? 03-wink

I still think Alabama is the best team in the country. Auburn needed two of the luckiest plays to win back to back weeks. Luck only goes so far.

You actually watched the game? I fell asleep and missed it.

Then he threw for 350 yards lol

I honestly can see him coming close to those numbers again. No wind in a place that he has played at 3 years now (1st year he had one pass, so I'll give him that year). TLL is going to be fresh and Brescacin has come on really strong the last few games with guys being out. Going to be fun as hell to watch Lynch in this game.

He's actually played in it 4 straight years now. I think he was actually NIU's leading rusher in the Miami game.

RE: BGSU message board.
TLL being out the past couple of weeks gives BG much more to prepare for this Friday. If TLL is not back, do they need to pack the box more. If TLL is back, do they prepare for more bubble screens and more of a vertical passing game with his and Brown's deep threat capabilities? And that's all before game planning on how to stop Lynch running and all the formations we run out of.

Not quite.

Spann ended up with 54 yards on 17 carries.

Lynch had 26 yards on 5 carries.

Did anyone listen to the MAC teleconference for BG this week? I think I heard about 12 times how BG isn't a 1 man team...thought it was a direct shot at NIU and everyone not named Lynch. Obviously they praised Lynch but did little talking about any of the rest of the team.

No, it wasn't working. But that's pretty crazy. NIU will probably have more all conference players than BG, so obviously NIU is only one guy.

No MAC team has been able to slow down Lynch in the run game....ever. The only teams that have been able to do it are Iowa this year and Florida State.

Why is that funny? You don't think slowing down the running of Lynch makes NIU more beatable? Really?

I think it's just that people always assume Lynch running is 100% of our offense. It's a huge part of it, but we have other playmakers too.

I like most of these guys. They seem more rational than everyone on the Fresno board.

The Fresno board makes the people in the Spin Room here look rational.

I was going to say, if Charles Manson read the Fresno board he'd give them a 01-wingedeagle

Anyone who thinks Lynch is a one man team hasn't watched very closely. Stingley could be an All-MAC back and you have some excellent receivers. But to negate NIU's defense entirely, as many have, is crazy. Teams are going to find it tough to run against them and BG's receivers are inconsistent ( hence their fans naming their top guy "Droplin"). Plus they're starting a first year QB. 03-wink
