I don't now how any USC fan could get excited for Sarkisian.

He won 8 games this year -- it's a big improvement over his usual 7. Sark is on the rise!

They'll be a lot more patient if things start to go south. USC on the other hand will not tolerate a losing season. Although, if you're a good coach USC should be a pretty easy gig if you can handle Oregon/Stanford.
Anyone who can recruit can win at USC once they come of sanctions next year. They have a very good defensive coordinator and a good WR coach. I think Peterson would be the best fit because it just seems like USC has been lacking...offense.
I would give up on the SEC coaches... Kiffin didn't do crap, and Ed Ogreton didn't do crap. The SEC coaches that can make a difference (Saban, Miles, Spurrier, Richt) aren't going anywhere. Look what Urban did with Ohio State.

Source, A previously unscheduled 2pm meeting has been called for the Washington football team.
This wouldn't be a shocker at all. Didn't the USC program start to go south when he left to become Washington coach?

Sarkisian to USC was always a possibility, but I still can't believe it. Had 5 years to prove he can win at high level in Pac-12. He hasn't.
Yeah but that's a little unfair with both Oregon and Stanford being in the North. This year's schedule is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. So they went 8-4. Here are the 4 losses:
@ Stanford
Oregon
@Arizona State
@UCLA

Similar to my comment in the thread about Sumlin:
Those teams had great years and it's no disgrace to lose to any of them, but if you want the big bucks or a big time job, you ought to do more than beat only the teams you should always beat. Sark won't last long at USC unless he finds a way to beat the best teams in the Pac.

well the question about usc hire is how many layers of openings is it going to create. already 1 now, and let's see where Washington goes.
it'll be interesting to see if Fresno can keep their guy now.

Washington might be on the market. Current rumor is that their DC Wilcox is going to USC with Sark, if that's correct then UW won't be promoting from within.
