I am the one who actually came up with that as an alternative to home and home or a buy game. Not advocating it, just an alternative.

I don't see anything wrong with the idea though.

Of those 13 losses by Memphis and Pastner, only 1 was a home game and that was against Louisville last December. Louisville went on to win the NC. The majority of the Top 25 matchups with Memphis were on neutral courts. Four were real road games.

I agree with most that you don't place a post season win under a regular season win. But don't forget how important those wins in the Great Alaskan Shootout was. We beat three highly ranked teams in Kansas, Illinois, and Tennessee to win that tourney.

In terms of regular season wins, this is probably top five at best. Yes, it's North Carolina, but I think those three win in Alaska plus beating Cincinnati when they were #3 probably rank ahead of the Carolina game. JMHO.

To the Memphis fans, thanks for the congrats. I hate we are not playing you guys. No way in Troy do I want to see the game played in Tupelo. Either play it home and home or not at all. Playing at a neutral site takes away the excitement of the game.
