Rant over.

Have sympathy for them. Their gods lost yesterday.

They appear to have put credit card machines in all the stands now.

They had food trucks outside which I thought was a great idea. It probably eased the concession stand lines a lot. I also had one of the best sandwiches I have had in years. It was from the Grilled cheese truck. Had cheese, ham and pineapple on a pretzel roll. I knew it was going to be a great night as soon as I took one bite.

But they left once the game started, I believe. Also, Bartow doesn't typically allow re-entry.

Food trucks were part of the pre-game Blazer village festivities.

Yes, of course they were part of pre game. My point was that a lot of people were able to eat before the game and avoid the concession lines all together.

Get used to the lines people. Successful programs have them.

The UNC people in front of us were complaining that the concession stands at one point ran out of ice and popcorn. I was impressed with the amount of ice and popcorn we were moving to pull that off.

I doubt it was the volume that caused the shortage… more likely the lack of preparation. My kids stood in the line at 109 from about 6 mins to go in the 1st, through halftime. The reason… the concession stand ran out of change!03-banghead

Nah. Sodexo runs the concessions at Auburn, so they were happy with Saturday's game.

But as to last night, this is what you get when you allow a food court operator to run concessions. They are not capable of running concessions when 2,000 are there, so they are going to stink when it's close to a sell out.

I wasn't nearly upset with Sodexo for sucking, as I was at UAB for making another stupid decision for hiring them. And so it goes.

the workers are in theory UA fans... Just because they're employed by UAB/sudexo doesn't mean they are our fans.

Hurray for other people double posting also!

I suspect the moving food courts are what our students have to deal with, so moving them outside of Bartow probably wasn't too difficult.

So, does anyone want to trade some UAB souvenir cups for some Navy football ones?

RE: Standing in the concession line by Section 119 right now
I started this thread, so I know you guys are dying to know how my situation ended. Lol.

I got in line at the concession stand between sections 118 and 119 with 4:30 left in the first half. There were about a dozen people in line ahead of me. I got back to my seat with 10:00 left in the second half. Do the math, and that's nearly an hour. I kid you not. Needless to say, I wouldn't have stood there that long without being able to watch the game on the monitor, but it became a personal goal to accomplish the mission. I don't blame the workers. They were woefully unprepared and didn't have the necessary resources. Geez.

Your stubbornness makes us all suffer.

And we all predicted it weeks ago.
