OT: Just realized how far the CAA has really fallen
They've lost George Mason, Georgia State, ODU, AND VCU all in roughly a year. CofC is going to dominate the league in basketball almost yearly.

SoCon also got gutted (App State, Davidson, Elon, Georgia Southern, and CofC) but that was of smaller impact.

Very, very fond basketball memories in that league. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to miss it when it was in its true form.

The Virginia Trivalry was epic. Three successful programs in ODU, VCU, and GMU that almost year-in and year-out were 3 of the top-4 in the league and produced awesome conference games in season and in the conference tournament.

Georgia State never amounted to anything.

Wish I could say there was a fourth VA team that was awesome. Alas- we were good in football some of those years! We only had that season a few years ago that was any decent basketball-wise. I'm not a Tony Shaver fan, and I don't think that the Tribe will get much better until a change is made. Sadly, when you've always sucked it's hard to convince people that they should expect anything else.

CAA Football remains alive and well, however. It's such a separate entity from everything else, though.

Kind of like the old MVC now that was real nasty tough league. When Tulsa was in it.
