A .2 BCS average for Rice puts them at an equivalent of in the top 25. That makes no sense. I'd love to see what formula was used...

It's not that hard to see:

126 - Non-dropped poll scores (out of 125 schools): A&H had rice at #49, Marshall at #63: So A&H got 77 points, Marshall got 63

Max of 500: Rice : (77+83+72+82) /500 = 314/500 = .628
Max of 500: Marshall: (63+70+70+72)/500 = 275/500 = .55

(Human poll 1 + Human poll 2 + Computer Poll)/3

A&M had Rice by +13, Colley Matrix, +13 for rice... those were the two that hurt Marshall.

Problem is those numbers can't be right. Why do I say that? Well, Wisconsin is #21 in the official BCS standings and their BCS average is .1988. Does that mean Rice is #20 and Marshall is #22? If so, why aren't we listed in the top 25?

There's a problem with the formula somewhere.
