Our players will hit you, and hit you HARD. Several of your players found that out on Saturday. But NONE of those hits were dirty. They were just flat out hard hits. I'm sorry your QB got knocked out of the game, but it was a clean play (they even reviewed it and deemed it clean). Your other QB was knocked senseless as well on a completely clean hit. Antonio Andrews lowered the boom on one of your defenders that was clean as well. Nothing dirty, just hard hitting physical football. Sorry your team and fans are used to a finesse brand. Our defense doesn't play that way.

I was impressed with WKU's physical play.

UL spent a crap-ton of effort on physical conditioning in the off-season. Taggart recruited physical players almost exclusively and also spent a lot of effort on conditioning. Both of those showed this season.

What was the flag for?

An official THOUGHT that Jackson targeted your quarterback and threw a flag and Jackson was subsequently ejected. That play is automatically reviewed and was overturned because there was no targeting (meaning nothing illegal had occurred and Jackson was reinstated). Unfortunately, the idiotic rule this year says that even if targeting is overturned the 15 yard penalty is still enforced.
