And this is surprising - why? The football religion of Alabama brooks no infidels who defile its two main temples of worship - or lose games the faithful expect them to win. They have killed family members before when game results were unsatisfactory.

Remember when the state refused permission for Hoover HS to play in a televised game in Ohio because it was to be played on Sunday? The chorus of cheers from Montgomery supporting the decision could be heard all over the state. Score: GOD 1 High school football -0

Then later that same season, Alabama was invited to play in a bowl game - ON SUNDAY. There was not a single disagreeable peep from those Montgomery's politicians who had been so vocal just a few months before in August. Score: Crimson Tide 1 GOD 0.

That is a facet of Alabama history you won't see in any book.

Eh, to be fair to the Bammers it looks like the shooting in Hoover was not football related, it was just coincidentally at a football viewing party.

Fair enough, but it's probably not unreasonable to assume that the game was likely an aggravating factor.

I was walking towards the cafeteria at work & noticed only 1 car that had the car flags today. It was an Auburn fan.

Not too much discussion is going on today about that game.

I have heard more people talk about UAB's game against UNC today & those people aren't even UAB fans.

They failed to mention the Alabama player that took the cheap shot at the Auburn player on the last play of the game.

#79 I believe was going towards an Auburn player when the player was at least 15 yards behind the return guy for Auburn.

The video didn't capture the hit, but it darn sure looked like the Alabama player was ready to take out the Auburn player.

Look at the Alabama player #79, at about the 23 second mark. He goes to cheap shot the Auburn player after the Auburn runner was at least 10 to 15 yards in front of them.

I wonder w/ all the hoaxes going on if this ends up being true or not but wouldn't surprise me one bit if it is true

How petty is the Auburn fan that he goes public about his tip.

I think the iIron Bowl is losing steam.
They used to kill each other. A few years ago, it diminished to killing trees. Now they are just leaving bad tips.

Since the weekend, I haven't seen the 1st Alabama car flag displayed anywhere.
I have seen a few Auburn ones.

I was noticing that as well.
