As someone from the state I really hope not.

I want FSU to win this one.

Pretty good. According to Brad Edwards, he believes Auburn will be #1 in the computer rankings tomorrow. Question is what the polls do with OSU and Auburn if they both win out. Personally, I think Mich St will demolish OSU next week and Auburn will beat S. Carolina (yes I expect Mizzou to lose tonight).

Michigan State doesn't have enough offense to beat Ohio State, I don't think. With that said, I think Alabama, Auburn, LSU and A&M would all beat Ohio State.

What's interesting is that if Ohio State loses to. Michigan State and Auburn loses the SEC championship I wouldn't be surprised to see Alabama sneak back in to the championship game.

If Auburn jumps Osu you'll be able to hear the screaming from your house. Oooooo, I would love to have that kind of controversy. It's bad pub for the prestigious decision makers.

Auburn is the more talented team, but OSU deserves it... they are the undefeated ones.

It's unfortunate that in the last year without a playoff a season such as this unfolds.

OSU is what 24-0 in the past two seasons? If they get passed over for a one lost team there will be bloodshed at BC$ HQ and viewers will leave BC$(EC)PiN in droves.

I doubt it would happen but it wouldn't surprise me if it does. I agree with banker, 4 or 5 SEC teams could beat OSU plus FSU and Clemson.

I don't think OSU will get passed. If they do, something is wrong. There should be no power conference undefeated teams that don't at least get strong consideration for the championship game, and one loss separates Auburn and Ohio State - therefore the distinction is final. Ohio State, IMO, gets the nod. FSU is obviously #1.

I hate them to, and I could see them getting jumped. But, they could not be jumped by a team with a loss. But, part of me would actually love to see it just to here the bitching about the system they created.

RE: OT - What are the odds Auburn jumps OSU?
Here's how this will go down:

1. Ohio State and Michigan State bore everyone to sleep with a game that ends something like 13-9.

2. Auburn and either South Carolina or Missouri play a game that isn't decided until the last minute and ends 41-39.

3. ESPN gets to spend the next twenty hours and change talking up Auburn and how exciting and dynamic they are. There will be endless interviews of Malzahn and Marshall, and even a few with Pappy. There will be zero mention of a one dimensional team getting manhandled by a three loss LSU earlier in the season.

4. There will be a token interview of Meyer for appearance's sake. It will air at some ridiculous time where it gets buried in NFL news. There will be no mention of a team going 25-0 over the last two years.

5. Auburn will "mysteriously" leap frog Ohio State in all the polls that matter. There will be mention in the ESPN blogs of how the AP simply is out of touch because they still have a clearly inferior Ohio State ranked higher than the dynamic and exciting Auburn WarDamnEagle Tigers.

If Mizzou hangs on tonight and then beats Auburn, they'd be in over Bama.

That can happen only if Mizzou loses tonight.

Ohio State has beaten no one and barely got by a 5-7 Northwestern team and were a successful 2 point conversion away from losing to a 7-5 Michigan team. I have no interest in seeing the Buckeyes get drilled in the title game for a third time.

That's not a good argument IMO. The 2001 Miami Hurricanes, considered by most to be the best college football team to date, "barely got by" Virginia Tech (26-24) and had a moderately close game against Florida State (49-27). Ohio State played only two teams really close, that would be Wisconsin (who is good this year) and Michigan (who is not bad this year).

RE: OT - What are the odds Auburn jumps OSU?
I think it's unlikely. Auburn is certainly talented enough, but they couldn't take care of business against LSU. OSU is undefeated, and that should take precedence.
