Down a TD ... and just turned the ball over with less than 9 minutes.

Dabo is no genius. He is a product of a bad conference and a down UGAg team and Les Miles handing him one courtesy of The Hat's School of Clock Mismanagement. Spurrier owns him just as much as Richt owns The Hill.

Excuse me sir, but are you implying that there are teams in the SEC that are not national championship caliber, or that a coach therein is fallible? If there is one thing that SEC fans and ESPN have taught me, it is that the SEC is loaded, from top to bottom with national championship teams every year. Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Arkansas, etc. These teams never have a down year. And don't get me started about the perfection that is South Carolina football tradition. These teams only lose games because they have to play equally awe-inspiring teams every conference game. There is no way any teams from outside the SEC could ever hope to win more than 2 conference games a year for at least ten years if they were somehow fortunate enough to be extended the divine courtesy of an invitation to play in the world's only truly perfect conference. Just don't tell Missouri or Texas A&M.

No. Quite the contrary. The SEC's reputation is made of playing nobody out of conference and having favorable annual matchups otherwise.

That being said, they have the advantage of having an entire conference where academics have been COMPLETELY abandoned. They can vacuum up JUCOs and special high school players that are toxic most everywhere else. The ACC has been convincingly worse than the SEC since 2004, though not by the margin most people would believe. GT has been down while UGAg has been up. Until recently, UF has been up while FSU has been down. And now USC-East is up while Clemson is Clemson. Vandy has achieved respectability while Wake has faded. Mix in VT and Clemson willingly signing up for some butt kicking against a Top 5 (and more often than not NC winning) SEC team in Atlanta, and you have an ugly head to head record.
