I don't think they're considered transitional this year? Or are they still transitional and not eligible for a bowl?

This is their last year in transition. They are only eligible if there are not enough bowl eligible FBS teams. They would go just ahead of bowl eligible FCS teams. They can apply for a waiver, but there are not really any extenuating circumstances, so it would be a long shot.

Not bowl eligible this year.

I think they can only go after all OTHER 6-6 teams have been exhausted. EVEN if they themselves have 7 wins because of the transition year.
