Guess what Southern fans- it's no fun being outside watching football when it is 25 degrees

Rice winning big in 4th quarter. I am sure that the MACC at a neutral site outdrew C-USA at a campus site. The Marshall guyz were pretty ticked they didn't get to host the game, but I think it'd be cold in H-Ton today as well (although I am sure the Herd would've had a decent crowd on hand if they did host).

Wasn't one of the reasons Marshall fans disliked the MAC was due to our lousy attendance and lack of traveling fans. Well, welcom to the new C-USA(belt).

Is the Marshall coach really that brain dead? How do you not go for 2 down 41-17 to get it to a 2 score game? Unreal.

For good sport, I betcha there is a lotta "attendance smack" going on over at the C-USA board. I haven't visited over there today, but the losing team fans immediately go to the attendance complaints when they lose. It's a "art form" over there.

P.S. "official" attendance of C-USA championship game: 20,247, less than MACC at neutral site.

You know, I figured there would be too, but surprisingly after almost 8 pages on the game thread, not one post was negative or about attendance. Crazy, right!

There was a separate thread I think was entitled soemthing like "20,000 in attendance" and there were pictures posted making fun of the crowd at Rice today..it's not there now so maybe the mods took it out.

I think there was only 1 picture, and it was from pre-game of the visitors side. The home side, the couple times I was able to see it while watching, looked pretty full.

Saturday before an announced crowd of 20,247 that appeared to need the comma moved one spot to the left.

It didn't take a high IQ to deduce the crowd was much closer to 2,000 than 20,000. Nor did it take a great intellect to realize the Herd got out-smarted in this defeat.

Marshall is back?! LOL. They beat Miami (0-12), Gardner Webb (7-5, FCS), UTSA (7-5), FAU (6-6), So Miss (1-11), UAB (2-10), Tulsa (3-9), FIU (1-11), and ECU (9-3).

Congrats, you beat two FBS teams with winning records and a bunch of punching bags. Sounds like Ohio State thumping their chest beating a bunch of crap teams!

To our defence, if you look at that thread, you will see that it wasn't started by a Marshall fan. Also, that picture of the stadium wasn't posted by a Marshall fan either. We lost...not because we "got screwd by C-USA" but because we were outplayed on every single aspect of the game.

P.S. Congrats on the bowl teams. It's awesome when a conference fills all their bowl tie-ins and more
