No magic involved. Carey will never tell you what their real status is, injured or not.

There is a week between now and the MACC, most of those players will play.

I hope so. Without guys like TLL, Brown, Bishop, Bass etc. I have reservations about winning the game.

3 of those 4 players could probably play today if the game was today

Just exactly how do you know this?

Didn't someone say Bishop has a concussion? If that's the case, those you can't rush back.

The fact they have been running around on the sideline and jumping up and down hahaha. It was a smart move by Carey, there is no reason to risk things with players that have bumps and bruises when you are going up against 1-10 WMU. Maybe one or possibly two players of the above wont play, but in the end, I don't think injuries will be the reason we lose. We have been pretty darn lucky with injuries.

Compared to Georgia and Florida, yes, but to everyone else, IDK.

NIU has lost: its starting left tackle for 3 full games, starting corner for half the season, #3/4 receiver tht gts lots of reps missed at least 4 games, two runningbacks have missed games, another the whole season, the number 1 receiver has missed about 2.5-3 games.

I wouldn't say it's been horrible, but it certainly hasn't been a walk in the park. I don't think any other MAC teams could score 40+ a game with that many offensive players sitting on the sidelines.

All teams deal with injuries; I think the ones NIU has powered through shows how freaking good Lynch is more than anything else. He's just an animal.

It's game 12, guys are really banged up, that's what Carey said. Can't really argue with that. And, so is every other team at this point.

TLL and Brown - I bet we will know quickly if they are 100% or not by the way they move and the play calls. They still have distraction value when on the field, even if slowed.

I'll look for Bishop and Bass first thing at the game, I just want to see them ready, even if partially effecti

I expect to see all of them on the field, maybe not everyone at 100%, but then again we won't be playing in freezing temps with high winds. I hope to see our TE's get utilized a little as well.

+1. We have some good tight ends that we need to use more often.

We've been without Akeem Daniels all season, also.

Man I was REALLY worried the guys they held back against WMU really weren't going to play in Detroit.

That is what many posters on this board were saying. I am still concerned that we will have too many key players missing in Detroit.

Pueblo come on, if you know anyting about Carey by now is that you will never get the real answer about playing status. Just need to have Brown or TLL play and we should be ok. TLL was bouncing up and down on the sideline @ Toledo, Bishop was seen running on the field in the WMU celebration. My guess is maybe one of the above is out, but we should be good injury wise. Pull it out, and then you get 3 and a half weeks to rest up

So according to you, Carey can't be believed no matter what he says.
It follows then that we know nothing about the playing status of any of these guys.

if you were a coach, wouldn't you be evasive about your injuries? Why give the opponent anything. Does it help us as fans to know the true injury situation ahead of time. Unless a kid breaks something, or tears something, all good coaches are going to be evasive.
