Just read another gal who played Trixie in some remakes recently passed so I googled Honeymooners and looked up Audrey Meadows.

Interesting life and funny ( I thought) story on how she got the Alice gig after being termed too chic.

Married the head of Continental Airlines and played a very hands on role in aspects of the company then based out of Denver. Also a Bank executive.

Honeymooners is classic. Performed in front of live audience. Being from out east I related to NYC plot. And my Dad being from Brooklyn he always had some anecdote to share regarding references used in the skits. Made it more relative.

RE: Alice Cramdon aka Audrey Meadows
Honeymooners is way before my time, but is solidly among my Top 10 favorite sitcoms list. A bit bold for its day: Half the episode consisted of loud arguing, and the wife was portrayed as defiant and sarcastic. Jackie Gleason only read through his script once before appearing on stage, and almost always nailed it.

Hard to pick a favorite episode, but the one where Ralph and Norton tried to sneak out to a fishing trip without inviting the wives and when Ralph went bowling and threw out his back are up there.
