When a possum plays dead, do you call that playing Ray Harper?

WKU will be in the thick of it when it matters. Unfortunately, they need to start notchign some W's if they hope to have a better tourney seed.

go back and read what most of us were saying preseason. we said we had 2 very important cogs in the machine not available until after game 8 due to txfer eligibility.

that said.....these two aren't magic and bird. not sure magic and bird could have helped us last night.

we should be better when these guys get on board. but we still have less 'talent' than multiple sunbelt schools. i personally believe ray does a good job of overcoming that and getting the most out of a group.....WHEN HE HAS A POINT GOD.

i never loved jamal crook at western. but he was a point god. when he was out last year we looked like we did last night. when he wasn't hurt we won the conference tourney.

it's a ton of pressure to put on a freshman txfer in chris harrison-docks but hopefully he nails down the point god position from the first minute he's eligible.

I wasn't bashing WKU. Just pointing out that with their recent success come Tourney time, I wish they could get some more OOC wins.

so what happened to Ga. State? I thought they were supposed to be good this year? I ran across their record a couple days ago and was surprised to see it sitting at 2-5. Injuries? Dismissals/Suspensions? Just not living up to expectations?

It's hard to say. Road weariness perhaps? Offense shows up and defense doesn't. Or defense shows up and offense doesn't. We'll see how December goes.

Standings

ASU 5-2

USA 5-3
WKU 4-3
ULM 2-1
Troy 3-3
UALR 2-4 (Playing Today)
Georgia State 2-5
Texas State 2-6

We're about to hit Finals, so games will be few during the week.

I heard a nasty rumor that ULM might play a game or two in a few weeks
