Tulsa has been a Jeckle and Hyde this year. It really depends on what team shows up. Too many times this season Tulsa has been very average or just bad.

Rice is due a loss. Better to get it out of the way this week then during the bowl game.

Interesting fun facts..

Since 2008, Rice has a 37-47 overall record.

However, Rice is 14-7 in November since 2008

Owls are 26-47 since 2008 in games in Aug, Sept, Oct, and Nov (away) but strangely Rice is 11-0 at home for November games since 2008.

Fortunately and unfortunately for Rice fans, Owls play best FB consistently at home in November vs other months or on road. They are still figuring out how to translate November success to the following season. It is a consistent theme under the Bailiff era year-after-year. Amazing how few see that here. Tulane has had a great season and if this game were in October or September at Superdome, I would favor Tulane. However, at HRS in November, there is a reason why Vegas has Rice as double digit favorite. Some smart folks there.

No arrogance intended (Rice fans have stolen defeat many times from jaws of victory) but statistically speaking, feel free to bet against this defined trend at your own risk.

Rice is too focused and too hungry to let this game slip through it's hands. It'll be a good game with a couple of good defenses, but Rice should prevail.

Agree. Rice survived its Trap Game last week, NT didn't. The favorites will win this week.

Despite what the stats say Marshall's run defense is just downright bad and I think Coop has a big day. He went off in road games against UNC (who keeps making that blowout look better and better by the week) and NC State and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get over 150. Carden will be Carden, Hardy will be Hardy, and ECU's run defense with Terry Williams coming back will make Marshall one dimensional on offense. Of course that one dimension is really really good, but it won't be enough
