So who are we for
Old miss or Miss St.

I know we want a SEC opponent in the Liberty bowl, but we also want FAU in bowl if they get to 6-6. So we need open spots.

So who we for?

Ok. They could likely be Liberty Bowl opponent for us, I like Marshall, ECU, or Rice's chances against them.

Does anyone know what the Birmingham Bowl's back-up plan was in case an SEC team wasn't available?

The way I understand it, the AAC was somehow guaranteed a matchup with a SEC team, if it didn't happen in B'ham, then it would happen in memphis. Then we would get the B'ham spot vs MAC, Sun Belt, or even AAC to replace SEC. It's weird.

No matter what we still don't have the Liberty Bowl locked up, the SEC can veto anyone they want for any reason, once every two years, I think. Filling the B'ham bowl just increased our chances at keeping it, but if they don't want to see MU or ECU destroy Miss. St. or another bad SEC team they can keep us out. It's a joke.

Maybe destroy was a bit harsh, but beat would be accurate IMO. Their biggest win just happened in a big rivalry game. Other than that UK, Arkansas, BGSU are their best wins and all by 7 or less. Not good enough on Offense to keep up.

And yes, the Liberty Bowl situation is complete BS.
