He needs 245 yards to get to 2000 yards on the season.

Including Bowl game? Yes. MACC only? No.

If we play BG, no. Buffalo, maybe.

BG has best defense in MAC. We will have to be more than one dimensional against them. Can't believe I am the only "no" vote thus far!

If we play in a BCS bowl, no. Otherwise, yes.

Needs to average 123 yards/game. BCS opponent or not, I think he does it.

Not to toss a cold pale of gatorade on this thread but if NIU faces another BCS D like FSU, remember: JL was bottled up like a cheap wine.05-stirthepot

He had 44 yards vs FSU. That means that he would need 200 in the MACC. I can't see whichever team we play to limit him to that few that he did against FSU but I wouldn't expect 100 either so lets say 60. That means what, 185ish in the MACC. Seems difficult but doable.

Do they count bowl stats in final stats for the year?

In a BCS game I don't think so unless he goes HAM in the MACCG. I'm going to say no and he ends with with around 1925.

The kid is on a mission! If they need him to get 245 to win the MAC, he'll get it no matter who the opponent is. If they need him to distribute the ball he'll get that done too. There's no stopping JL!

very well possible that he could do it but I believe he will throw the ball a lot more than these last two games.

RE: Will Lynch get 2000 yards rushing?
Lynch coming up on another NCAA record possibly, per the NFL's website:

"Lynch -- the only player in the FBS ranks with two 300-yard rushing games this season -- became the fifth quarterback in FBS history with 5,000 career passing yards and 4,000 career rushing yards. The others: Nevada's Colin Kaepernick, Michigan's Denard Robinson, Missouri's Brad Smith and West Virginia's Pat White. Lynch has started for only two seasons; the others were four-year starters.

Robinson holds the NCAA record for rushing yards by a quarterback with 4,495. Lynch, who has two games left in his career, is at 4,278."
