Well, I guess it doesn't matter who's to "blame". All I know is that our AD has been trying to keep the series alive. If it is over, it ended with one whale of a game. Congrats to the Cards

I will miss the series. But, at the same time, I am over it. We have a series with Miami (yes Florida, in addition to the Ohio Miami) over the next couple of years. Obviously I am looking forward to this and any other good series we can get our hands on.

A bit off-topic but Pitino was asked if it would be hard to continue playing WKU upon entry into the ACC. For those that don't know, the series with WKU dates back to 1926 and the Hilltoppers are UofL's third most played basketball opponent (77 games total). They rank only behind UC (97 games) and Memphis (87 games). UofL is also only 38-39 all-time against WKU due to the Hilltoppers dominating the Cardinals from the 1920s to 1950s.

Anyway, Pitino said he would make the series against WKU work regardless of the conference affiliation because he enjoyed the series too much and he liked every one involved with WKU, plus he just felt it was natural to continue it. We also have a series with Memphis for 2015-2016 (@Louisville) and 2016-2017 (@Memphis).

Hope we can find a way to keep UC on the schedule in hoops as well.

Kentucky, Memphis, Cincinnati, WKU, should be on the UofL schedule every year... and so should IU if they'd ever agree to play us.
