Tuberville 15th highest paid coach in the country?
Anyone else see this? I apologize if this was posted somewhere else. I'll have to admit. I had no idea and am totally shocked.

(I can't believe BJ makes more than Bob Stoops and Urban Meyer.)

EDIT: Something don't seem quite right. Brian Kelly is awfully far down that list.

It's a bit deceiving...Lyle's buyout cash is rolled in to that total. He is really in the $2.2MM range which is more like top 40ish...still pretty damn good IMHO.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe part of Tubberville's salary is a reimbursement for his buyout with Texas Tech. His actual salary is in the low $2M range. Also, private schools don't have to disclose salaries so where they came up with the numbers for guys like Brian Kelly are a mystery. I hear his actual salary is much much higher than what is on these lists.

Yes, the $3.1 million includes the $900,000 buyout from Tennessee buying out Butch Jones' contract. UC/USA Today included that in his salary for whatever reason. Tuberville's making ~$2.2 million as you said, which would put him around 40th. Pretty darn good.

He gets stock options in the Vatican, but hey, it's his "Dream Job".
