RE: NTR-Marcus Smart
I say put King on him. Kinda like Miami did against Chicago by putting Lebron on Rose.

Rotate him and Geron. Geron was doing a good job on him, he fouled him once and was called for a BS foul the 2nd time that bailed Smart out on a horrible shot and force geron out of the game early. The only three Smart hit on him was the one that bounced off the back of the rim to the front and then in.

Those 2 have 10 fouls to give and also put 2 of our best players on the court. Joe is too small to guard him and Crawford is too slow.

Guy's basketball IQ is off the charts. You don't have to like him but if you're not impressed by his play than we have completely different concepts of what a high level college basketball player looks like. I don't see how this guy can be anything other than a star in the NBA --

Plus if we had a lineup of.

1. Jackson
2. Geron
3. King
4. Nichols
5. Shaq

Oklahoma State would not be able to contend with that front court. Just have Joe guard Forte which he can easily do. With Geron and King rotating on Smart and Brown.

Hard not to like him. Did you see his interview before the game? He turned down 4.65 million to come back and get better. he is very humble and a great player. I think the dude is awesome personally.

I don't think we'll match up well with OSU or just about anyone else decent with our 2 sub 6' guards on the floor together, man or zone.

That why they should only play together when Forte, Brown and Clark in the the game. Smart isn;t gonna play 40 minutes more then likely. When he goes out put our guards in. Joe and Dixon can handle Forte and Clark.

It's going to be difficult to get a gauge on OSU until they begin conference play. Their non-conference is soft.

Are you implying stomping teams like us doesn't mean anything?

It means they're significantly better than we are, but it doesn't mean they're national title good. They did, after all, lose in the 1st round of the tournament last year.

Really hope to play them again...and yes in the finals.

If he has another similar game they will win.

But- more likely he does not and much more likely our guys, especially our guards, play better, and it is a down to the wire game....absolutely possible.

Yep, I agree 100%. I expect a 100% turn around. No way Smart goes for almost 40 again. All it takes is a little strategy which I assume we'll have seeing them for the 2nd time. We also will have had 3 more games to tweak things and build confidence.

We looked like we had no chemistry against them the first time. I still don't think they have an answer inside for us if we actually go inside. Our bigs were 16-24 for 47 points and 19 rebounds without getting fed. I think we just rotate King and Geron on Smart and let Crawford, Dixon and Joe handle their other guards Brown, Forte and Clark and it should be a completely different game.

I was just thinking that as well. We need to the feed the post from the very beginning of the game and get OSU frontcourt in foul trouble. Pound the ball on the inside is the key
