RE: Week 14 Watch
Im going to do one very last BCS projection tonight after the games are done, but early indications I am figuring out, have NIU leading UCF by roughly 0.05, and NIU holding at 14, of course contingent on results tonight

I know that you can't fully answer my question given that not all games are over, but do you predict a human vote swing that benefits NIU?

I predict a boost in human votes or even more than the shaft that we've been getting all season. Either would not surprise me...

Those Fresno votes have to go somewhere.

Does the Stanford/ND do anything for us? I hate ND and LOVE to see them lose but would it help us move up? Would it bring up ND to pass us(don't know where they are now but you know how the people voting adore ND.

We will get more but I have a feeling that it won't be significantly more.

Stanford losing might drop them a decent amount without ND passing up NIU.

Yep in the spreadsheet I have, the human gains I have for NIU outweigh the computer losses and gives NIU a slight net gain in overall score for the week.

Arizona getting whomped by ASU, an ASU loss wouldn't hurt NIU at all.

Stanford won. Does this mean our chances of going to the NC have been dashed?

OK. Looking forward to the projections!

With how many things have gone NIU's way recently? I refuse to say it's impossible. But I wouldn't bet a quarter on it.

I would say NIU is a winner due to Fresno losing... and to ensure, due to Wisconsin losing, because they would have made NIU at least #15 (as NIU's computer ranking is what held them up above, but fell).
NIU will be the real winner when they (please?) beat BGSU. That will be a real, solid "You're Golden". NIU is not in positive position after this week, but not in negative either. They're neutral due to wackiness out there.
But Fresno losing? That is what makes NIU a winner, indirectly -- and justly -- as Fresno has been the Notre Dame of last year of the current year's mid-majors (not as good as they are according to record). It gives NIU the road to get to the BCS and make the MAC throw a flag on the field to say "We Are Better Than You" (beat OK-State!!)
