But I can't prove it any more than you can prove that they are not.

And computers are only as unbiased (and as competent) as their programmers and the assumptions that they make. There are computer programs that leave us out of the top 25 and there is one that puts us at number 6. Even if they are unbiased, they cannot possibly all be credible.

But there has been nothing proven on the football field shown to prove those three teams are better than NIU.

I don't disagree. But the corollary is that there has been nothing done on the football field to suggest that they aren't either. That's kind of the point -- all any of us have are unprovable opinions.

We have one common opponent -- you beat Idaho by 10; we beat them by 47. One common opponent is insufficient to prove anything.

I think the two conferences have only played each other once this season -- UNLV (one of our mid-range schools) beat one of your mid to lower schools, I think. Again, too small a sampling to prove anything.

Yes. CMU was up 21-7 @UNLV at the half... then CMU folded and UNLV punked them 2nd half very well, and won by 10.

And rightfully reflecting that is:

... and I don't think people would be arguing that, thus, it's not something in the mix.

Essentially, when comparing both teams, both games are a wash and cancel each other out.

Also, I wasn't even born then, but I'm assuming that's when NIU throttled Fresno. Hey, Fresno still is 2-3 in the series. They just happened to get embarrassed in 2 of the 3 losses.
