RE: Coaches Poll
that means Auburn and Missouri will almost certainly pass Clemson this week.

Oklahoma St doesn't like these numbers at all. They are the biggest South Carolina fans on the planet right about now.

What good would a CGH do the Big12. If they had one this year OSU, Baylor or Texas would likely be playing Kansas State.

Considering there are not divisions in the Big 12 no idea why you picked KState? 1 loss ACC and SEC teams are above 1 loss Big 12 teams, and the same thing happened last year when KState lost late and fell out of
the top 4 (with 1 loss).

If 1 loss SEC, ACC or PAC teams are above 1 loss Big 12 teams, then
certainly that will even be more when comparing 12-1 teams vs. 11-1
Big 12 teams. Also the playoff selection committee has stated that
winning a CCG will be included in the playoff selection criteria.

Oklahoma State still has to play Oklahoma.

Even if they win, they get the Big 12 title and the Fiesta Bowl and that's it, unless they get a whole stack of miracles to fall their way.

Alabama-Auburn doesn't help them because the winner will be ahead of Ok St no matter who it is. The only way Ok St can possibly finish ahead of the SEC champ is if Mizzou loses to TAMU and South Carolina wins the SEC title game.

Which means they need to win over OU and they need a FSU loss and an OSU loss, and they might also need South Carolina to beat Clemson, and it would be best for them if Alabama wins out to ensure that every other SEC team has at least 2 losses.

I think you better read that again. It says "Conference Championship" It does not say wining a "Conference Chamnpionship game". Big difference

West Virginia used to regularly be in the ranking polls once upon a time...

What good would a CGH do the Big12. If they had one this year OSU, Baylor or Texas would likely be playing Kansas State.

Depends on who they added to get to 12. If they added Louisville and Cincy along with WVU it might not be ksu.

Sorry, but you are wrong. The Playoff selection committee has NOT stated that winning a CCG will be included in the playoff selection criteria. I challenge you to show me where that happened.

Teams will be chosen based on several factors including conference championships, strength of schedule, head-to-head competition, comparing common opponents and injuries.

I think you better read that again. It says "Conference Championship" It does not say wining a "Conference Chamnpionship game". Big difference

Would you rather be 11-1, or 12-1?

I think in a lot of ways that's splitting hairs. I mean this year- I think if Michigan St beat Ohio St- Oklahoma St would be in the playoff over Michigan St- even with Michigan St having an extra win

Do you agree that winning a CCG is not necessary to get in the playoff? And would you rather be 11-1 or 11-2?

After the past two weeks, Fresno is now #13 with 687 votes to NIU's #20 with 459 votes, a 228 vote advantage.

So Fresno having a bye week and beating New Mexico at home was worth more than beating Ball State at home and Toledo on the road.
