RE: UAB temple
Did some of you think were gonna blow temple out? How much more prepared could the man prepare them? Could it be that maybe temple was the better team tonight?
This fan base has grown high expectation for only second year coaches. ready to give up on basketball season and the coach already?

RE: UAB temple
Chad Frazier was "HORRIBLE", tonight. Seven turnovers. 3-13 from the field. Two assists. Jordan Swing wasn't much better. 2-10 from the field. Zero rebounds. One assist. The team had a total of 7 assists. Defense was terrible. Temple scored a ton of points down low. What a disaster!

This is still a team learning how to play together. Games like this, not 30 point individual performances will make us stronger and a better team by conference time. For those of you who think our tournament chances are over now because of one game in November, shut up and go look at some tournament history and learn something.
You can't stand people having a different opinion than you.

That doesn't mean we won't get in, but we've made it harder with this loss.

RE: UAB temple
Im finding it hard to see a win for temple in their league. Cincy, Louisville, Memphis, UConn, UCF. SMU and Houston will be playing really well by the time they play them. Rutgers could steal one against them as well. Doesn't sound as good of a loss or win for us than I thought it would be. they may not win 3-4 games in their league.

Seriously. This is UAB we're talking about. It's not like we're top 10 caliber cause we almost beat NM and beat Nebraska.

Did you know that the RPI is absolutely meaningless in November. Right now Youngstown State and Indiana State are in the top 10.

I don't think New Mexico deserved to win. And I think Kirk should've been fouled out way before bairstow as well. JMO.

We have such high expectations, but in truth, how many people expected us to be a tournament team 2nd year.

RE: UAB temple
Seems like the guys were playing tired; shots almost going, just coming up short to the rim even on layups. Which also would explain the lack of defensive intensity and turnovers. And there didn't seem to be enough passing the ball around on offense.

Wow. Amazing insight you have there. Any loss, Einstein, makes it harder to get into the tournament. My responses are to your fellow Mensa club members who are saying this loss will keep us out of the tournament and our NCAA hopes are over.
Truth is, we have very slight NCAA hopes this year. We are not the team that played against New Mexico or Nebraska. That was just a glimpse of what this team can be.
And it is you that is intolerant of other people's opinion. You can't help yourself but to attack me anytime you don't agree with me.

Y'all crazy tonight. College basketball is as competitive as it's ever been top to bottom these days. Vermont (1-5) just lost to Duke at home by 1. Get over it and enjoy the game.

RE: UAB temple
There was a brief second half push that was actually quite impressive. But we just aren't conditioned, we were tired. 2OT loss just last Thursday? Another game on Friday?
We're a good team, just ran out of gas towards the end. Luckily, regular season games outside of this tournament are more spaced apart, more time for rest. Oh, well. Conditioning is also something that's fixable.

There's a lot of truth to this. That New Mexico Game was a real and playing an extra half-game had to have had a huge impact on our playing ability down that final stretch.

To lower expectations:
don't expect better than a 15 point win against Fla A&M
don't expect better than a 15 point loss against unc

Right. New Mexico is a good team and looked tired against UMass, and lost.
